He is a Lecturer in Electronics Design in University of Glasgow. My research interests span a broad spectrum of analogue and mixed signal CMOS Design, MEMS, Neurophysiology, Nonlinear dynamics as well as allied topics like information society, entrepreneurship and higher education.

He is part of Electronics Design Centre in Glasgow University, wherein we are trying to design novel sensors for commercial, biological and ecological applications.

Jyoti Prakash Lal is professionally a Software Engineer and working with one of the topmost IT MNCs in India. Through the course of his career, he has nearly coded his way through the alphabet, starting with "B" for BASIC, hitting "A" for Assembly and currently on the letter "C" for C/C++/C# computer programming languages on different locations of world which mainly comprise India, Spain and USA.

He also has considerable experience in developing occasionally useful applications in a variety of programming languages.

He is B.E. in Comp. Sc. having 9.5+ years experience with 5.5+ years in building and leading teams, developing complex software, experienced in standalone application (with c, c++,c# and vc++) and web applications (with asp.net,vb.net, c#.Net, sql server, php, mysql) with software internationalization. He is having experience in Graphics Development (open GL, Open Inventor, VRML). Much aware of latest technology and doing the work in latest technology like XML, XSL, Ajax, web 2.0 standards, web Services, Asp/SaaS, SSL/TLS, OpenSSl.

He is project manager of Delhi based IT company.
